CARING FOR YOUR ARTWORK: Preserving the Essence of Time and Texture

Art is more than an object — it is an experience, a presence that evolves with its environment. At Carrara Studio, we create artworks that are deeply tactile, rich in texture, and crafted with natural materials. Just as our pieces are designed to stand the test of time, proper care ensures that their essence remains intact for years to come.

The Philosophy of Preservation

Every material holds a story, and time adds its own layers to that narrative. Caring for artwork is not just about maintaining its physical form but also about respecting the process that brought it to life. Our collectionsArche, Escapism, and Catharsis — are made from organic, raw elements that demand a mindful approach to preservation.

General Care Guidelines

- Feather Duster Only: Each of our artworks should be cleaned using a soft feather duster. To ensure the best care, we include a feather duster with every piece for our collectors.

- Avoid Direct Sunlight & Humidity: While our works are made from durable materials, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive humidity can alter their appearance over time.

- Minimal Contact: Our pieces invite tactile interaction, but frequent touching with bare hands may transfer oils and affect the surface.

Collection-Specific Care

Each collection carries its own material essence, requiring slight variations in care:

ARCHE

Composed of sand, wood, and hay, Arche pieces embrace raw, earthbound textures. These artworks should be cleaned gently with a feather duster to preserve their organic surfaces. Avoid any moisture exposure, as natural elements may react unpredictably to water.

ESCAPISM

A study in depth and movement, Escapism artworks are particularly delicate.

- White and Greige Shades: These should be cleaned exclusively with a feather duster to maintain their light, soft texture.

- Charcoal Black: This variation can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, as the darker pigments hold up to gentle moisture better than lighter shades.

CATHARSIS

With its interplay of textures and contrasts, Catharsis should be maintained using a feather duster to ensure its layered composition remains untouched by external elements.

Preserving the Narrative

Art is a living entity within a space — it absorbs its surroundings, reflects its time, and continues to communicate long after its creation. By caring for your piece with intention, you become part of its journey, preserving not just the materials, but the philosophy embedded within it.
