I’m not telling a story—you’re telling the story.
At CARRARA, we believe that art is more than just a visual experience. It doesn’t follow a linear narrative or rely on traditional storytelling. Instead, our work speaks through texture, rhythm, and form—elements that transcend words and connect with something instinctive.
I experience the world through touch. It’s how I understand emotions, memories, and sensations. But I also believe we can touch without our hands. Even without physically feeling a surface, we have a tactile response to texture—an unspoken connection shaped by our personal experiences. For me, texture isn’t just a material choice; it’s a language, and every surface tells a different story.
The Role of Texture in Minimalist Art
In our work, color takes a secondary role. While many artists use color as a primary means of expression, we prioritize shape, proportion, and rhythm, allowing color to serve as a supporting element. Our goal is to create immersive, sculptural pieces that evoke emotion and memory, drawing the viewer into a world where form and texture speak louder than hue.ESCAPISM: The Rhythm of the Mind
The Escapism series is inspired by the patterns of thought—the way neural activity shifts between states of focus, reflection, and imagination. Each textured surface represents a mental state, from deep meditation to heightened creativity. These rhythmic patterns bring a sense of movement and tranquility into a space, making them a perfect fit for contemporary interiors that seek both depth and stillness.
ARCHE: The Origin of Form
From ancient Greek, Arche means the beginning—the primal essence, the foundation of all that exists. This collection explores what lies beneath the surface, what exists before we define it. It is raw, instinctive, and timeless. The textures echo natural formations, the passage of time, and the silent strength of elements untouched by human hands. Arche is an invitation to reconnect with the origins of form, to experience art in its most essential state.
CATHARSIS: Stripping Away the Unnecessary
If Escapism is movement and Arche is origin, Catharsis is the moment of clarity. This collection evolves from both, echoing the fragmented forms of Escapism yet embracing the primal textures of Arche. But here, movement settles into stillness. Shapes become purified, reduced to their essence. The surfaces—raw yet intentional—invite touch, grounding us in something deeply human.
Catharsis is about peeling back the layers, removing the unnecessary, and finding meaning in simplicity. It reminds us that true depth is often found in restraint, and that minimalism, when rooted in emotion, is far from empty—it is profound.
The Power of Abstract Art in Interior Design
In contemporary interior design, sculptural wall art is more than decoration; it is an experience. Textured artworks add depth and dimension to a space, creating an atmosphere rather than simply filling a wall. At CARRARA, we specialize in custom art that seamlessly integrates into modern interiors, bringing a sense of balance, materiality, and emotion.
The Story Is Yours to Tell
When people ask me, What does your art mean? I always think of David Lynch:
“It’s better not to know so much about what things mean. Because the meaning, it’s a very personal thing, and the meaning for me is different than the meaning for somebody else.”
Every artwork I create opens a chapter of a story—but it’s not mine. It belongs to the viewer. I will never know what that story is, and I will never hear it. My role is to awaken memories, stir emotions, and invite you to reflect. To imagine. To reminisce. To look inward.
