At Carrara Studio, we don’t believe in more — we believe in meaning. In a world overflowing with things, we choose to go inward. Toward what is real, tactile, and honest.
This is not just our philosophy of art. It’s our philosophy of living.
Space Is Not a Background — It Is You
So often, we treat space as a passive frame, a neutral background. But space is not separate from us — it continues us. It echoes our energy, amplifies our memories, and holds our daily rituals. That’s why we believe space must be intentional. Thoughtful. Personal.
At Carrara Studio, every sculptural painting and object we create is a continuation of this belief. Whether it's part of our Escapism, Arche, or Catharsis collections, each piece is not there to decorate — it is there to resonate.
Objects with Memory, Surfaces with Soul
We do not see our artworks and interior objects as “things.” We see them as vessels — of feeling, of memory, of choice. A raw surface, a subtle imperfection, a minimal shape: these are not aesthetic decisions. They are emotional ones.
The studio was born from this idea — not as a business, but as a form of inner work. A way to slow down, to return to essence, to surround ourselves with what matters. Each Carrara piece carries with it the rhythm of hands, the quiet of thought, the honesty of process.
From Childhood Roots to Creative Practice
I came into art from interior design, but if I’m honest — I never saw them as separate. The impulse to create was never about profession. It was a way of being.
As a child, I would walk the forest paths of Latvia with my father. We would gather bark, stones, bits of earth. We made things — simple, tactile, handmade — with no rush and no goal but presence. That’s when I first understood the power of making: the transformation of matter into meaning. And I never stopped.
Today, Carrara is our shared language — mine and my husband’s — a creative partnership built in Riga, rooted in memory and touch.
Why We Choose Depth Over Excess
In an overstimulated world, silence becomes rare. We believe in the art of subtraction — not to live with less, but to live with more awareness. A home should not distract you. It should hold you. It should reflect your truth, your inner pace, your individuality.
Minimalism for us is not aesthetic purity. It is emotional clarity.
Each piece we create is born of this clarity. Whether it’s a sculpture, a wall artwork, or an interior object — it is made to support your space, not occupy it. It is there to hold stillness. To mark a pause. To give space to your own story.
Material as a Language of Emotion
Over the years, my interest has shifted from function to feeling — from the visual to the tactile. Texture, rhythm, raw material: this is where I find meaning now. I want you to feel our work not just with your eyes, but with your hands, your breath, your presence.
Carrara is the language of material intimacy. It is how we say things without saying them. It is the honesty that lives under the noise.
A Way Back to Yourself
Art, space, objects — they are not separate from life. They are a single process: a return. A return to quiet. To memory. To truth.
We don’t follow trends. We don’t chase noise. We believe in honest design — the kind that supports you rather than distracts you. The kind that evolves as you do.
This is what timelessness means to us: not staying the same, but growing alongside the person you are becoming.
A Studio Rooted in Intention
Carrara Studio is not here to offer just objects. We are here to offer presence. Every sculpture, every canvas, every steel or stone form — it all begins with the same question: what is essential?
If you are drawn to quiet beauty, to spaces that nourish rather than overwhelm, to design that feels like memory — we invite you into our world.
Let your home become your mirror. Let every object mean something. Let your space tell the truth of who you are.
